Welcome! We have organized a trip to Colombia for a small group of friends who wish to continue learning from ayahuasca medicine. Visiting Colombia carries a very special energy unlike any other South American country we have visited. The upper Amazon regions of the Putumayo and Valley of Sibundoy are the very birthplace of the ayahuasca tradition. It is home to shamanic traditions that are only known by the indigenous cultures who have guarded these secrets for eons.
For those of you who want to go deeply into these shamanic traditions this experience is a truly unique setting. With a group size between 8-14 people this will be an intimate and profoundly deep experience.
During the week there will be two ceremonies with ayahuasca, one ceremony with yopo, and one ceremony of the inipi.
Maloca (Cosmos House)
We will have private use of a lovely little posada nestled in the pine forest. The property has casitas (little houses) scattered around a central garden area and private restaurant for our group. The maloca (cosmos house) is in the nearby pine forest and is a very sacred space for the ayahuasca ceremony. Other shamans gather here at different times throughout the year for their own ayahuasca ceremonies, creating a strong resonating energy for us to be in.
Lakota Ceremonies of the Inipi and Cannunpa Wakan
During our week together we will explore different shamanic traditions including the Lakota Ceremony of the Inipi (sweatlodge). This is a purification process that carries us back into the mother’s womb to be reborn again through the heat of the glowing stones.

After the inipi we will often smoke the Cannunpa Wakan, or sacred pipe. The pipe ceremony is a sacred ritual for connecting physical and spiritual worlds. The smoke is the breath of The Creator. When you draw the smoke into your body, you will be cleansed and made whole.
Logistics and Travel
The logistics are fairly easy as we don't need a tourist visa, any vaccinations, and is only 3.5 hours from Ft. Lauderdale or Miami, Florida where we will be meeting. We will travel down together as a group, flying directly in and out of Colombia. On the last night we will stay at nice city hotel, go out for dinner and enjoy our final evening together.
The retreat fee is US$1650 plus the cost of flights. All accommodation, meals, ceremonies, and our final night together is included in the retreat fee. A deposit of $750 per person is required to hold your space.
