Ayurvedic Massage

Included during each week is one bodywork session of ayurvedic massage, shiatsu, and reiki to help restore and rebalance your body back to its original suppleness.

Ayurvedic Massage: Ayu = knowledge veda= life; This technique uses proven tactile maneuvers, stretches and vigorous movements in the body that go beyond the stimulation of points and vital organs. It differs from other massage techniques by making use of the feet and other parts of the body to massage. Ayurvedic massage improves blood circulation, opens chakras, eliminates toxins, stimulates the immune system and exfoliates the body to remove dead cells and bring a sensation of comfort and relaxation.

Shiatsu: The objective of this art is to balance the flow of energy in our organism. It relaxes the body, the mind and alleviates tension held in the nervous, reproductive, digestive and circulatory systems, with benefits for the skin, blood circulation and bone structure. Using this technique, an individual’s emotional, mental, and physical health improves.

Reiki: A simple yet profound system for curing naturally. This practice allows us to channel through the hands what is called the “universal vital energy”. This energy acts on many levels, and contact with it takes us on a journey of harmonization, balance, revitalization, alignment and personal development.

Sandra Luis began studying Reiki with the master Plínio Cutait, and is currently a Member of the Reiki Alliance. Sandra studied Ayurvedic massage with therapist Alice Avibhasha, using Indian practitioner Kusum Modak’s method. She studied aromatherapy with Sâmia Maluf of São Paulo, owner of the "By Samia" essential and vegetable oil manufacturing company. She studied shirodhara therapy and Biodynamic Massage at the Txai Resort with therapist Helena Peirão, a professional in the three areas of vedic sciences: yoga, vedic astrology and ayurvedic medicine. With Anadyr de Freitas, therapist and president of the Holistic Union of South Bahia, Sandra studied the Chinese massage technique Tui-ná, reflexology of the feet and hands, auricular acupuncture, body reading (using body meridians and Yin / Yang) and natural healing techniques using moxabustion, clay, ginger and others.

Please note that we will be engaging in some very powerful shamanic practices and this event may not be appropriate for everyone. We reserve the right to accept or decline applicants at our sole discretion.

Booking Requirements: €2000 per person per week (10% discount for couples); €500 deposit per person due at registration; Special rate available for a two week (17-day) workshop.

Payment can be made by certified check or bank wire transfer. All prices are in Euros (€).


The workshop fee is for each 8 day event and includes:

• Shared bungalow style accommodation. Each bunglaow sleeps two people and
  has private bathroom, hot shower, and veranda with hammock.
  
  
• Three meals a day of delicious Bahian style cuisine; Two snacks with the
  superfood açai each day along with fresh young water coconuts; Unlimited
  beverages in restaurant and refrigerated bottled water stocked in each room;
  we can accommodate vegetarian, vegan and other dietary needs.
  
  
• Three evenings of ayahuasca ceremony plus lectures and group sharing sessions.
  
  
• One hour long bodywork session. Additional sessions available at supplemental
  cost.
  
  
• Mid week nature trip to visit the beautiful surrounding regions of Bahia.
  
  
• All local transportation and airport transfers provided by air conditioned
  motor coach and boat.
  
  
• Private and exclusive use of the eco-resort property and it’s amenities; wireless internet.
  
  
• One extra night and meals the day before the workshop (so we can rest from our travel)
