The Search by Dave Burton
A friend I met on my first trip down used to say that it's like the medicine just makes a small change to your frequency. I don't know about that but, I do know that things were a little bit different afterwards. All I can tell you is "it" is a little bit different for everybody. "It's" really simple and you’re gonna laugh out loud when you find it.
November 29th, 2008. Today is my birthday. I am 90 and very grateful to be alive and well. It is a strange and wondrous thing to have been around for such a long time. I do know it is important, no, imperative that we stay awake if we don't want to miss out on all the happenings in these interesting times.
The whole space around me rumbled, while shaman’s drumming sounded like African drummer’s concert. I experienced life’s quintessence as an ecstatic fulfillment, and at that moment I didn’t care about the meaning of anything anymore. The ecstasy was so strong that it became its own purpose. Yes, the quintessence of life is to enjoy it, what else.
We would like to share with you some music from our good friend and shaman Warinei Wanare. Over the course of this last year he has spent a great deal of time with his own mentors of the Sikuani tribe in the eastern Orinoquia region of Colombia. This region is legendary for its wealth of healing and psychoactive plant medicines. There are more sacred plants here than anywhere else in the world.
The Sikuani have ancient healing traditions that use sacred words or prayers. During the ayahuasca ceremony these prayers are sung over the people and invoke healing. The language is sacred and comes from a place in the spiritual worlds. Warinei continues to bring forth their knowledge and healing traditions to share with people from all over the world.
Listen to Warinei's music recently recorded during the ayahuasca ceremonies this past September. Many of you have asked for longer versions so we have posted about 60 minutes of music.

The Black Swan by Ralph Miller (December 12th, 2008)
The world is going to change in some fundamental way; you know things will change but you can’t put your finger on what the change would be. You just feel it. A great transformation will happen and the form it will take will be something we never anticipated. The concept of a black swan is a metaphor. It is reference to anything that is utterly improbable. It refers to events or things which are not predictable but at the same time feel inevitable.
We thought it would be interesting to share with you Ralph's most recent article. It is a follow up to his original piece titled The 2012 Problem. For the first article, when we were researching the historical details on our calendaring system, we found it so interesting where it all actually came from. Some countries only adopted our current calendar less than 100 years ago! It causes you to begin questioning all of your own rigidity around time consciousness.
In this new article, Ralph describes the fallacy of our desire to hang on to these comfortable concepts and arbitrary future events such as 2012. Instead, he offers the possibility that maybe, right now, somehow that shift or transition has already begun to arrive.
The December 21, 2012 date is a symbol that exists as an extraordinary irony. Any particular date is a man created marker denoting the concept of a point in time. I find this ironic since the great transition or evolution we may be approaching surely has to do with complete renovation of our time consciousness or even the eradication of time itself!
Peter will be on News for the Soul radio show this Wednesday, February 14th, at 9PM PST and invite you to join us to learn more about the Ayahuasca medicine and it's healing properties.
